I am very glad to highly recommend Yahia, my Arabic teacher, for his teaching skills, also for his amazing personality. we started lessons 0n 2012, learning MSA and we used various types of books, carefully chosen articles of newspapers covering various subjects. Yahia is also very cultivated, open-minded and not shy to discuss any topics, he is always happy, eager to learn from students as well. Yahia has a deep knowledge of MSA, he will help you on pronunciation, ideas behind words, grammar, complexity and will help you understand it better. Therefore, he can teach at any level, from beginner to real advanced learners. I continued my lessons online, mainly focusing on Egyptian Arabic. Again, he was able to move our MSA classes to Egyptian Arabic with the help of many hands-on resources such as textbooks, movies, clips, music and other creative ways of learning.
I would like to say that: Yahia AL Harty is an excellent language teacher both for standard Arabic and for Egyptian colloquial dialect. I study the dialect and have taken classes with him via Zoom for about a year.
Yahia studied Arabic grammar for years and, additionally, has knowledge about the grammar of several foreign languages. Therefore, he can explain the grammar very well and individually tailored to the student’s previous knowledge. He has more than ten years of teaching experience with international students both in groups and private settings. Thus, he disposes of a large collection of teaching materials, including songs and movies, covering a range of diverse topics.
My online classes with Yahia have always been a pleasurable and funny experience so I can recommend him a lot to anybody who wishes to enhance her / his Arabic skills. I especially recommend Yahia. to those who want to learn about Arabic cultures while studying the language.
In Cairo, I started to do private Arabic lessons with Yahia. From the beginning, I felt very good with him, thanks also to how he decides to do the lessons, with seriousness but also, and why not, with fun. I think this is the right key to learning any language. He immediately manages to put you at ease! Yahia is an excellent Professor, very polite, kind and really prepared. The study of the Arabic language is not simple and sometimes even joyful, but thanks to him you can also learn to appreciate the language and the fantastic Arabic culture. For these reasons, I still do the Arabic lessons with him from Italy online via Zoom.
